Elephant activities in Jaipur - An Incredible Experience To Remember
We have been gifted with the privilege of looking after these magnificent creatures and our aim is to give them a happy, healthy and secure life.
The money raised by our ELEPHANT INTERACTION PROGRAM is primarily used for the welfare and prosperity of our elephants and their caretakers. By visiting our Elefun Elephant Sanctuary and experiencing our ELEPHANT INTERACTION PROGRAM, You will make a direct contribution to the well-being and care of our elephants. Participation from your side will aid to give our elephants proper shelter, veterinary care, nutritious and healthy food. Your contribution will also ensure the welfare of our elephant’s caretakers, their families and education for their children.

Meeting & Introduction-
Elephants are the largest land mammals on earth and have distinctly massive bodies, large ears, and long trunks. They use their trunks to pick up objects, trumpet warnings, greet other elephants, important to look in the eyes of elephants or suck up water for drinking or bathing, among other uses.

Feed your elephant-
Elephants eat roots, grasses, fruit, and sugercane. An adult elephant can consume up to 300 pounds of food in a single day. These hungry animals do not sleep much, roaming great distances while foraging for the large quantities of food that they require to sustain their massive bodies.

Paint your elephant-
The color we use here is water/herbal colors easy to put easy to wash away, keeping the skin of elephant safe. The contact here we are talking about is more spiritual than physical let the elephant feel your positive energy. The most astonishing thing here is that to communicate with elephants there is a certain language that they understand very well.

Elephant shower (Not available November to March) As in winters its not suitable for the Elephants.
You hose the elephant down, then ask the elephant to lie down on its haunches - they are trained to understand 'lie down' - and scrub it with a brush and soapy water, starting from their back to their feet.

Walk with the elephants-
Experience the joy of taking a leisurely walk with your elephant at our sanctuary. Walking is essential for the health and wellbeing of these magnificent creatures, and it’s a great way for you to bond with them. We prioritize the welfare of our elephants, which is why we encourage our guests to enjoy their company without riding them. It’s a more meaningful and authentic way to connect with these gentle giants.
Note: Washing in winter season (November to March) is not possible as Elephants can get cold very Fast.

ABOUT JHALANA LEOPARD SAFARI
Spread in an area of 23sq km Jhalana Leopard Safari Park is home to 30-35 leopards out of which 6-7 leopards have their territory in tourism area of park. Situated right in the heart of Jaipur city closer to Airport, Jhalana slowly is becoming a favorite destination to spot leopards in wild. This otherwise shy cat is the apex predator here and does not have much competition for survival which makes them confident and therefore better sightings .
